I intended to do an entire post dedicated to Zed, and may still at some point, but for now I’ll leave it at this - if you’re looking for a “blue chip” NFT project to invest some money into, part of your portfolio should probably include at least one Zed genesis horse. My favourite go-to resource for digging deeper into the stats and analytics behind specific horses is the site Know Your Horses - there are also others doing similar things. There’s near infinite information out there on Zed and a good place to start is their own guide and introduction page. One of the prices to pay for being early is putting up with products that haven’t been fully fleshed out yet - and to be fair - their site does still say Beta. It’s not there yet - but I am pretty bullish in the long term, especially given how early we still are. They’re trying to do what they need to do to scale and succeed and have significant backing to build the platform of their dreams. The site is riddled with bugs, racing frequently doesn’t work, and the communication from the team could be a lot better. Naturally some of this is to be expected when the demand for your product goes up 50x in a short time frame but I and many other community members are extremely fed up with the platform. They have gone through a lot of, to be generous, growing pains, over the last few months. The complexity to their ecosystem is already quite established and they have extensive plans to expand their universe going forward and are building to be around in 100 years from now. Instead of buying your NFT now and having a promise of a future game in 2022+ like some of the other projects I will get to, with Zed you can race right away. The concept is fantastic and having been around for 2-3 years Zed is at a significant advantage to most other gaming NFT platforms.
